At Cadence Piano Studio, we offer a wide variety of lesson plans that are uniquely tailored to the student to help maximize their learning so that they may reach their goals. Whether they want to join a church band, play for fun, or become a concert pianist, all age and skill levels are welcome.
When it comes to age, you are never too young or old to start learning the piano. Students of all ages & skill levels are welcome here. Ages ranges from about 3 to 75 and skill levels range from a complete beginner to advanced (college level, concert pianist). At the studio, we do not believe in the word “talent-less.” Talent is nothing without hard work so one should ever underestimate the power of practice as hard work will always beat talent.
Aristotle once said that “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” There is nothing more inspiring than watching a person work hard and persevere to champion their way to their goals. The beginning is always hard but life has a way of rewarding those who work hard. At Cadence Piano Studio, we want you to have fun and enjoy the learning process. Your success is our success.
Music literacy is also a very important fundamental one must learn in order to have a well-rounded knowledge of any instrument. Sight reading, ear-training, theory, and etc are all part of those fundamentals. While students do not have to go in-depth on learning all of these components, learning the basics and the fundamentals are key components in having success in reaching your goals. Learning music is like learning another language. You want to learn your ABC’s before learning how to read.
You can skip the ABC’s and go straight to reading, but it’ll make be tougher. Learning the basic fundamentals, work the same way. You can go through the motions, but it’ll make each song you learn that much more difficult if you don’t learn the basics first. Though learning can be tough and frustrating, the end results can be very rewarding. Watching someone learn a piece that they thought they would never be able to play is not only motivating to the student, but it gives the student a sense of self worth and satisfaction. If desired, in-depth training of all of these components can be incorporated into the lessons as well.
Every student learns differently and every teacher has their own style of teaching, so we strongly believe that finding the right & most compatible teacher is very important. This will maximize the learning benefits and also make the lessons more enjoyable, both for the student and the teacher. Being a great teacher means being able to adapt to each students learning process and Cadence Piano Studio prides themselves in having great teachers that are adaptable to all students learning abilities. Whether you want to learn pop, blues, classical, rock, opera, we cater to all of your interests. The sky is the limit!
